Welcome to Lucky's Farm Homepage!
In the majestic Front Range foothills, nestled amid the bucolic, rolling fields of Niwot is Shepherd Valley Farm. It is there in that serene community-supported agricultural (CSA) space that Lucky’s is currently cultivating its own little slice of horticultural heaven.
Bo Sharon, founder and owner of Lucky's Markets, began sourcing produce locally before it was even a trend. Still a small-scale, independent grocer, Lucky's had both the flexibility and the ability to cultivate close relationships with local growers like Ollin Farms, Isabelle Farms, Full Circle Farms, and Fresh Herb Co. In fact, Lucky's Market is the first grocer in the Front Range to commit to sourcing 10 percent of its inventory from local growers and producers.
Early in 2013, Lucky's partnered with The Farmer Cultivation Center in Niwot to grow herbs and vegetables on a one-quarter acre plot sold in-store, in the prepared foods section, and at the Boulder café.
Since Lucky’s produce department is focused on the three key components: local, organic, and value-driven, we passionately believe in getting every staff member’s hands dirty in the soil. It’s impossible to cook great food without great ingredients, and we ensure we put the best into the hands of all our customers.
Lucky’s Farm is located on approximately 3 acres and is located next to the Shepherd Valley Waldorf School in Niwot. The farm has an intern program where up and coming farmers can work and learn the farming business.
