Lucky’s Market Introduces New Team Member Scholarship Program

Company Announces First Five Recipients During the 2019 Holiday Season Boulder, Colo. (Jan. 8, 2020) – Lucky’s Market, a natural foods grocer that offers affordable options for every day foods and specialty choices, created a new Lucky’s Market Team Member Scholarship Program, a program that has just awarded five Team Members $5,000 each to pursue their educational goals.


Team Members were invited to apply to the new scholarship program in Fall 2019 via a 500-word essay or a two-minute video submission showcasing their passion, educational goals, and the impact of both of these things on their community. All applicants must have been actively pursuing an associates, bachelor’s degree, vocational or trade school, culinary school, etc.


The Company recently announced and awarded the scholarship recipients via surprise parties across the country. Recognized Team Members are as follows:


  • Hazel Hernandez, apothecary manager in Hunter’s Creek, FL
  • Amy Meeks, bakery supervisor in Coral Springs, FL
  • Janel Plunkard, apothecary manager in Springfield, MO
  • Aimee Schwartze, AP coordinator at the Support Office, CO
  • Lauren Evans, cashier in Panama City, FL
