Steak Salad with Avocado & Onion


1 lb – top sirloin steak

1/3 cup – soy sauce

2 – heads Napa cabbage (chopped)

1 – small onion (diced)

2 – avocadoes (sliced)

3 tbsp – plus 2 tsp olive oil



  1. Marinade the steak in soy sauce for 30 min.
  2. Cook steak in 2 tsp olive oil in large skillet over med-high heat, 3-5 min per side for med-rare. Let rest 5 minutes, then slice against grain.
  3. Toss steak with romaine, onion, avocado, 3 tbsp olive oil, season with ½ tsp salt. (*For additional flavor you can also toss with 3 tbsp lime juice. Cheese can also be added to the top of the salad!)
