• 2 cups fresh packed basil leaves
  • 2-3 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts or walnuts
  • 2/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Place basil, nuts or walnuts, garlic, and parmesan cheese in a food processor. Pulse so that the pesto appears like a mix of chopped ingredients. Stir in olive oil, salt and pepper.
