1/2 – yellow onion, diced (approximately 1 cup)
2 cloves – garlic, minced
1 pound – lean ground beef
3-4 tablespoons – worcestershire sauce
1/3 cup – shredded Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup – shredded Mozzarella cheese
Red leaf lettuce
1. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a skillet on medium-high heat. Add onion and garlic and stir for approximately 3-4 minutes until onions are a bit translucent. Remove pan from heat. If you’re in a rush, it’s not necessary to cook the onion and garlic prior to cooking the burgers.
2. In a bowl, place ground beef and add Worcestershire sauce. Stir in onions and garlic. Add Parmesan cheese and Mozzarella cheese and mix with your hands until ingredients are all blended together.
3. Form beef into 4 to 5 hamburger patties. Place patties in skillet over medium-heat and cook for approximately five minutes aside until desired cooked-ness is achieved.
4. Place burgers on a bed of red lettuce and top with tomatoes. Serve with carrot and cucumber slices and tortilla chips.
