• 2 cups milk or milk alternative (We love coconut milk in this recipe)
  • 1 3-ounce disk of Taza chocolate mexicano
  • 1 Mexican cinnamon stick
  • 1 dried chile pepper


  1. Mix milk, the whole chile and cinnamon stick in a saucepan over medium heat for 10 minutes.
  2. Mince the chocolate disk and add to the milk mixture, whisking it in.
  3. Continuing stirring over medium heat for about 5 more minutes, or until chocolate has melted.
